About MDU
Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) is a public university located at Rohtak, Haryana, India. Established in 1976 and named after the great saint Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, the varsity is a premier institution of higher education in the region. Moving from the limited original objective of studies in life sciences, the University today functions with 13 faculties, 27 post graduate departments, and runs 77 academic programs on campus.
There are 66 Boards of Studies for developing and designing courses in various disciplines.
Besides the main campus, there are 2 satellite campuses – Regional Center offering post graduate programs at Rewari, and the National Law College at Gurgaon.
As an affiliating University, it has 126 institutions and colleges under its wings with a cumulative enrollment of about 1.70 lac students in various disciplines.
Among the premier professional institutions, it has the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences at Rohtak with a 1000 bed hospital, a post graduate College of Medicine offering specializations in 21 disciplines. Besides, the University also boasts of a Medical College at Agroha, and a Dental College at Rohtak.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
NTPC Ltd. offers one of the best pay packages in the industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-50500 at the basic pay of Rs. 24900/- during one-year training. These candidates will be absorbed after successful completion of training as Engineer / Officer at a basic pay of Rs. 25650/-. Besides basic pay candidates will also be paid Dearness Allowance. Delhi Technological University (DTU), is among the premier engineering colleges in India. It was established in 1940, originally as Delhi Polytechnic and was under the direct control of Government of India. The college is presently under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi since 1963 and is affiliated to the University of Delhi since 1952

Vide Act 6 of 2009 Govt of NCT of Delhi has upgraded DCE to the State University with the name Delhi Technological University.
Delhi Technological University established as Delhi Polytechnic in 1940, the technical school was created to cater to the demands of Indian industries. At that time the Delhi Polytechnic offered courses in Arts, Architecture, Commerce, Engineering, Applied Science and Textiles. The National Diploma awarded by the Delhi Polytechnic was considered equivalent to B.E. Degree by the then UPSC. In 1962, after the administration of Delhi Polytechnic was taken over from Ministry of Education, India, to Delhi State, various departments offering courses in different disciplines separated to form institutes addressing specific areas. The Department of Arts became College of Arts and the Department of Commerce and Business Administration further divided into several institutes of Commerce and Secretarial Practices. In 1965, the Delhi Polytechnic was renamed as Delhi College of Engineering.

STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL & ELECTRICAL) EXAMINATION- 2011 MARKS OF NON-QUALIFIED CANDIDATES

The Staff Selection Commission conducted an open competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) Examination, 2011 on all India basis. Against 59647 registered candidates, 36700 candidates appeared in the said examination.
2. The category-wise cut-off fixed by the Commission in Paper-I for evaluation of Paper-II was as under:
4. The marks (Paper-wise) of the candidates who have not qualified for the Interview, have been uploaded on SSC’s Website. A candidate can ascertain his/her marks through the website by entering their Roll No. In case of any problem, a reference enclosing a copy of the Admission Certificate may be made to Under Secretary (C.I), SSC, New Delhi for getting the marks. The marks in respect of the candidates short-listed for Interview have not been placed on the Website as per Commission’s policy of not disclosing the marks of candidates qualifying for the next stage.
5. The particulars of the candidates appearing on the website are based on the
coding(blackening the corresponding rectangles in pencil) of their particulars by the candidates on the first page of OMR Answer Sheet. Candidates had already been cautioned through instructions given in the front page of OMR sheet that “ Answer Book not bearing candidate’s Name, Roll No. & Ticket No. will not be evaluated and such candidate would be awarded “ZERO” marks”. “ Please ensure that you have written and coded your particulars correctly to avoid rejection. Further, Note-II under Para-20 of the Notice for the Examination also cautioned the candidate that “Candidate should note that answer sheets (either OMR answer sheets or Conventional Answer Sheets) not bearing Candidate’s, Roll Number, Signature, Ticket Number, Test Form Number (in addition to blackening of the relevant rectangle as per instructions given to the candidates) will not be evaluated and such candidates would be awarded “ZERO” mark. In other words, wrong coding or no coding leads to no evaluation”. Accordingly, the OMR sheets of the candidates whose scripts were without their signature or who have wrongly coded their particulars on first page of OMR Answer Sheet, have been rejected and awarded zero marks. If any candidate does not actually belong to the category mentioned against his/her roll number, he/she must bring it to the notice of the respective Regional Office of the Commission immediately.
6. Nature of mistakes/discrepancies committed by the candidates has been indicated in code against the column ‘Discrepancy’ of the respective candidates which are as under:

The School of Open Learning [a part of the Campus of Open Learning] formerly known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, established under the University of Delhi in 1962, is a pioneer Institution in the field of Distance Education in India.

The country witnessed the beginning of an alternate mode of education when the School started with a modest admission of 900 students in 1962. The School enrolled more than two lakhs students in the Academic Session 2006-2007. On many occasions our students have been toppers in various disciplines. (v) Once the payment of fees is made, the concerned branch will give him a Transaction No.

(vi) Candidate should visit again our website www.bankofindia.co.in under the caption “Recruitments / Career” and should fill up the application available on Page 14 of the Notice on our website.

(vii) Transaction No. should be correctly filled in the application at appropriate place (This will not be applicable for SC / ST / PWD & Ex-Servicemen Candidates,).

(viii) Application should be checked and after verification be submitted by click to submit button.

(ix) Application should be printed and photo affixed on that, to be kept ready for submission at the time of interview at the Interview Venue.

(xi) Please note that the above procedure is the only procedure for applying. Physical mode of application or incomplete application would not be accepted and if submitted such application would be rejected outright.

As per the above said procedure, we summarize the steps as below :

a. Copy of receipted challan;
b. Attested copy of School leaving certificate or any other document showing proof of age acceptable to the Bank.
c. Attested copies of Mark sheets / certificates in support of Educational Qualification;
d. Attested copy of certificate of Computer Course, as applicable;
e. Caste / PWD any other related certificate as applicable.

f. Candidates serving in Government / Public Sector Undertakings will be required to submit “No Objection Certificate” from their employer, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered.

It is for the candidate to ensure that he / she has met with the eligibility criteria and complied with the requirements and adhered to the instructions contained in this advertisement as well as in the application form. Candidates are, therefore, urged to carefully read the advertisement and complete the application form and submit the same as per instructions given in this regard.

There is provision to modify the submitted on-line application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct the details in on-line application, if any. This Modification facility shall be available after 2 days of registration & up to 02.09.2010 including 2 days time for modification. Modification will be allowed only 3 times. After the last date , no modification will be permitted.

Even if the last date of registration is changed due to technical reasons, the valid dates for payment of application fee will not be changed. INDIAN AIR FORCE GROUP ‘X’ and GROUP ‘Y’ SELECTION PROCEDURE

VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY.

Original Certificates/Mark Sheets and other required documents will be scrutinized and verified at the examination venue on the rally day before the commencement of the written test.

SEQUENCE OF EXAMINATION

WRITTEN TEST

Written test will be objective type and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except English Paper. Duration of written test will be 45 minutes for Gp ‘Y’ {Except Auto Tech, GTI and IAF (P)} Trades and 60 minutes for Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades. Written test will be conducted in the following subjects:-

(a) For Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Tech, : English as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE
GTI and IAF (P)} and Reasoning & General Awareness (RGA).
(b) For Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades : English, Physics & Mathematics as per
CBSE syllabus for AISSCE.
CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day.
PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT).

All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates completing the PFT in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds will be awarded additional marks on a sliding scale. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts.

INTERVIEW.

Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be interviewed. Working knowledge of English is a prerequisite.

Candidates of Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades who qualify in interview are to undergo Trade Allocation Test for bifurcation into Mechanical and Electronics stream. Specific trade allotment within these streams will be carried out at Basic Training Institute (BTI), Air Force (Belgaum).

MEDICAL EXAMINATION

Medical examination will be conducted as per IAF medical standards for recruitment as airmen by medical officers of the Armed Forces. Medical certificates/certificates of fitness from other doctors will not be admissible except for diopteric power as stated in Paragraph 6 (d).

PUBLISHING OF AISL The All India Select List (AISL)

will be displayed at No 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati on 31 October 2010. A copy of the Display List will be sent to District Magistrate of Jorhat (through Airmen Selection Centre) and also available at Indian Air Force website www.indianairforce.nic.in. The inclusion of names of the candidates in the AISL depends upon the performance of the candidates in the Selection Test.

NOTE: - Candidates are advised to get tartar & stains removed from their teeth before appearing for the written test. Ears should be free of wax. Candidates should be prepared to stay for the test for four to five days under their own arrangement. No TA/DA will be admissible.

INSA – JRD TATA FELLOWSHIP

Introduction

Indian National Science Academy, a premier scientific organization in India representing all branches of Science and Technology, has instituted the INSA-JRD TATA FELLOWSHIP administered by CCSTDS in honour of the late JRD Tata, visionary and a leading industrialist. The purpose of this Fellowship is to extend facilities of the advance scientific infrastructure and expertise of India to scientists and researchers of developing countries. The Fellowship established from an Endowment received from Sir Dorabji Tata Trust will foster advanced research training of scientists from the developing world and promote south-south co-operation.

Scope and Duration of Fellowship

The Fellowship provides an opportunity for young scientists, teachers and researchers from the developing countries all over the world to undertake research studies in India. It covers short-term, participatory research studies in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at the Indian Centres of Excellence. The Fellowship awardees are provided considerable freedom in availing the opportunity and formulating the contents of their research work in India. The awardees may either correspond with the host institute and opt to work there if offered placement or seek the assistance of CCSTDS for placement.

About 10 Fellowships are provided annually. The Fellowship Applications will be scrutinized twice a year in April and October by a selection committee. The Fellowship covers return airfare from place of work in their home country to place of work in India, boarding and lodging at the affiliated institution/s, and an adequate allowance in Indian currency to cover incidental expenses. The maximum period of award will be for three months.

The awardees are allowed to choose a fellowship period mutually convenient to them and the host institute. On successful completion of the program, the awardees are required to submit a brief report to the centre and participate in subsequent feedback requirements on the usefulness of the program in their home country.

Eligibility

Applicant (other than Indian) must be a scientist, teacher or a research scholar, preferably below 45 years of age affiliated to a scientific or academic institution in a developing country (outside India). Applicant must possess a valid passport.

Guidelines

The prescribed application can be downloaded from CCSTDS website: http://www.ccstds.tn.nic.in The last dates for receipt of the applications are 31st March and 30th September in a calendar year List of enclosures to accompany the application:-

a) A detailed curriculum vitae containing the date of birth & age, applicant’s research interest and experience, publications (only those in referred journals), present position, scientific affiliations, awards and scholarships etc.
b) A brief write-up describing the proposed research work.
c) Two passport size photographs.
d) Copy of degree certificate for highest qualification.
e) A letter of consent from Parent Institution
Applications should be forwarded by an appropriate authority. Selected candidates must obtain permission/leave from their parent institutions Selected candidates must obtain Indian Visa for the proposed period of research upon advice from CCSTDS.
